What's My Role?
The registration process will differ based on an individual’s role on the team. The three roles are Registrar, Coach, and Competitor. Here is an overview of each role:
Registrar: The Registrar is the head of each team’s online registration and will be contacted for all registration issues. He/she, along with the coaches, needs to make sure that competitors are registered in a timely manner and signed up for the correct competitions. He/she will have access to invite competitors and coaches to the team and make any changes to the competitions that team members are signed up for.
Competitor: Any team member registered for a competition is considered a competitor. The team Registrar can also be a competitor. Visit http://www.getmistified.squarespace.com/eligibility/ to determine if you are eligible to compete. A team may have up to 65 competitors.
Coach: This is an individual 21 years of age or more that can approve the team’s online registration and serve as the team’s chaperone at the tournament. We require a 1:20 coach:competitor ratio and at least 1 coach of each gender if the team’s size exceeds 20 competitors. Additional information about coach payments will be provided.
Creating a Username
You will be using Adderpit https://web.adderpit.com/MIST to register for MIST. A general note on Adderpit: we have found that it works best on Chrome running on a desktop computer and not on a mobile device. If you are having trouble with the site, make sure that you are using the appropriate device.
Step 1: Make sure your school Registrar emails the Registration Committee to obtain a “school code” if he/she does not have it already from previous years. Then, he/she must create a username https://web.adderpit.com/MIST and create a team under his/her school. In order to create a username you must have a unique valid, working email address. Only one username can be created per email address.
Step 2: The Registrar can then send email invitations through their accounts to additional team members to make their own usernames. Alternatively, each member can create a username by visiting Adderpit on their own (and eventually request to join the appropriate team using the school code).
Step 3: Once you have submitted your request for a username, an email will automatically be sent to you to confirm your request and give you a password.
You will be able to use the same username each year to sign up for tournaments.
How to Navigate Through Your Account
Once you have signed into your MIST account you will notice a task chart on the bottom under the My Tasks heading. This chart will differ depending on your role on the team. As you complete each task, the red “x” under the completed? column of the chart will become a green “check”. To complete each task you can click on the task name.
There are various tabs at the top of each page. The “Home” tab will return you to the task chart. The “Team” tab will allow you to see all individuals registered for your team. The “Registration” tab will give competitors a summary of the competitions which they are signed up for.
